The Legal Action Project (LAP)
Founded in 1989, LAP is a full-service public interest law program dedicated to using the courts to combat gun violence. LAP's overarching goal is to produce legal precedents that will create strong incentives on the part of gun owners, sellers, and manufacturers to reduce negligent behavior and the risk of violence. LAP attorneys also assist governments in the defense of gun laws where they are challenged on constitutional or other legal grounds. View a full list of current and past cases.

Law Enforcement Relations (LER)
LER works closely with law enforcement organizations, agencies, criminal justice practitioners and individual law enforcement professionals throughout the country on public policy, safety education and prevention initiatives to reduce gun violence in schools and communities. LER also works closely with law enforcement to educate them on Brady Campaign/Center issues and gain their support. God Not Guns Coalition
A new effort of the Brady Center is a coalition of individuals and organizations interested in addressing the issue of gun violence prevention from a faith based perspective. God Not Guns educates people of all faiths about gun violence in America as a spiritual and moral crisis, and equips them to serve God by ending gun violence in their communities. Hispanic/ Latino Outreach (HLO)
The HLO initiative seeks to build upon the STOP 2 program by developing messages designed to address the specific needs of the Hispanic/Latino communities. Building upon qualitative research conducted under our existing grant, HLO incorporates ethnically relevant messages and themes into gun violence prevention materials for distribution to these communities, and addressing the needs of the fastest growing Hispanic/Latino communities. This newly developed program is being piloted in the Los Angeles area.

African American Outreach
The African American Outreach project is an initiative designed to cultivate public awareness about the effectiveness and efficacy of sensible gun laws in communities that have been disproportionately affected by gun violence. This initiative will seek to actively engage community members, advocates and influentials in successful mobilization and advocacy strategies that will positively impact the devastating incidence of firearm violence affecting these communities.

Linking with Victims For Change Network (LVCN)
LVCN is a national coalition of individuals that have been directly impacted by gun violence. Designed to provide activists with a range of effective mobilization and advocacy strategies for addressing the issue of gun violence at the local, state and national levels, LVCN members will be apart of a national network of victim/survivor and co-victim advocates, who's authentic voices will carry their message of creating a nation free from gun violence to legislators across the country. Steps To Prevent Firearm Injury In The Home (STOP 2)
STOP 2 is a grant-funded program designed for use by health care practitioners to prevent and reduce the incidence of firearm-related injury and death. This program includes delivery of STOP 2 training and program materials, and is structured specifically for health care providers, health educators, faculty and staff at health care facilities, and community participants. The Hechinger's Speakers Bureau (HSB)
Started in honor of longtime board member John Hechinger Sr., HSB trains a national network of capable, well-informed speakers to speak and participate in forums addressing the issue of gun violence and gun violence prevention in their communities. HSB volunteers help to broaden and deepen the impact of our message of gun violence prevention. A new component of the program will be the development of communication tool kits for Million Mom March chapter members to use in their communities. Click here to learn more.
